 Air conditioning systems cool the air by pumping Freon from the outside unit (condensing unit) to the indoor ac-unit-spring-image“cooling” coil (evaporator coil) where heat is drawn from the air circulating through the house by the blower. The Freon travels back outside to expel the heat and the process starts over again. All three components, outdoor condensing unit, indoor evaporator coil, and blower, are equally important in the cooling process. Good air flow is just as important to capacity and efficiency as is the unit outside. Keep all of your components clean and operating at peak efficiency.

Air conditioning systems are your homes largest energy consumer. Be conscientious of how long your systems are running. A system at peak performance will cool the house quicker and therefore operate less.

“It’s not the heat, it’s the humidity.” A by product of cooling is moisture removal. If your house feels more humid than normal, there is a chance it may not be performing as specified.
